This is one of three larger circular pieces from a set of five I call Free Child, each representing a decade of my life I've been processing in therapy recently. On its surface are soft, playful flowers hand painted like a child in colours I once avoided. Framed with a bright yellow rim, this piece is a quiet celebration of what it means to let myself be a child again and to be free.
It was created during a time when I began to realise that the child-like spontaneity and joy I longed to experience can still be experienced now, again and again.
Note: There are three cracks on the base of this piece
