This is one of four circular pieces from a set I call My Grief. There is a small, concentrated stained flower at the centre, surrounded by a partial blush of red - like a wound. Near the rim, a single patch of deep blue emerges, small but piercing. The surface bears cracks that are both deliberate and organic, reminding me of how grief can be held in places people rarely see.
It speaks to the moments when sorrow hides in quiet corners, surfacing only when something tender brushes against it.
