This is one of four mini bowls from the Smaller Than Small set. Almost a chawan, but too small to be one, it mirrors how often I've made myself smaller than I needed to be, shortchanging myself of the life I want to live. With its soft lilac interior and scattered hand-painted flowers, this piece speaks to the tenderness I'm learning to offer myself. It reminds me that gentleness doesn't mean diminishing myself, and softness doesn't mean smallness.
